finally i thought of rewriting my profile. heard some say that the image of a chain smoking(that i am not) copywriter doesn't glue to a jargonized academic writing. they say write abt my copywriting which i don't like to do though it has been fun to write about writing always. A good part of my advertising life (a big term to use for a stint) was in kerala where writing meant bread winning than award winning. So My profile wouldn't really have the stuff that balki,piyush pande or Neil French have decked. But if you go through it, you could get a glimpse of what would have been great stuff, if the client was kind enough to approve. Some ask me still why are into advertising, since my past track in academics is not worse. But where else do you have the fun of learning how to cope with rejections,and still nurturing hope that one day the dreamline is goanna cum true. Wh Of course i have written stuff that I couldn't help liking say like 'he lives alone. With his son' for an old age awareness camp. and like 13 years in a second for a TV channel, With enough disruptivess.It isn't pain as some do think, to brood over and write some stuff for ads that later become wrapping papers for tomatos, chips and....I really like writing for such ads,the joy of spotting my ad on a paper that I happen to stamp on the way, to me it is cannes or atleast a cochin ad club. I know these much words are too much for a copy but again, I like writing long copies and i still, due to some reason beleive that people like them too. My dictum is a copy could be long, just as long as it is a copy. After zeroing in, I always work with an art director, or a visualizer and thus don't mess up my own idea doing my own art into it. Thanks to them, I still have something that shows in my portfolio. still for those friends alien to the ad world, I have a blog urbansaint.blogspot.com and i recommend you just get what you want only in a couple of my works posted there. So much to satisfy my freinds wo wanted me to write about my writing.
